Rustington is ready to Celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Rustington's Programme of Celebratory Events and Activities for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee is underway and will run until the 30 July 2022.

Over 30 events and exhibitions are planned with something for all ages.

The Parish Council decided in early 2021 that the Platinum Jubilee should be celebrated in a big way in the Village and so work began on progressing a packed programme of events.  Public Meetings were held to which the response from many of the local Groups and Organisations has been fantastic.  From day one everyone involved has worked tirelessly to ensure that the local community, and visitors alike, would be able to enjoy and participate in a wide range of events throughout the Village.

The Parish Council is proud to support, with financial assistance, a number of the programmed Events.

Chairman of the Parish Council, Councillor Mrs Alison Cooper stated: "Special thanks must go to everyone involved, particularly as their time and efforts have been given without question, and most generously.  So all that is required now is for the residents of Rustington, and visitors, to turn out to support the Platinum Jubilee Programme of Celebratory Events and Activities to make it the greatest success yet, and another memorable time in the history of the Village.  Finally, I would like to convey my heartfelt congratulations to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on reaching the milestone, and a first in the Nation's history, that is her Platinum Jubilee, on behalf of the community of Rustington".
