The recent Government guidance makes it clear that unless absolutely essential everyone should stay at home and avoid unnecessary contact with other people as this is the best way to reduce the spread of infection. These restrictions place a responsibility on everyone including the Parish Council to do their best to ensure that the advice on ‘social distancing’ is followed. Whilst the Parish Council’s Allotments remain accessible, before entering the site, we would ask you to consider if your visit is really necessary. If the answer is yes, please observe the common sense rules around keeping your distance from others (two metres) where practical and treating any publicly accessible surfaces as potential sources of infection. In particular you may wish to exercise caution when using gates and padlocks and consider using gloves when operating them.
Guidance and advice regarding Covid-19 can also be found via the National Allotment Society website

The Council has three Allotment Sites within the boundaries of the Village. There are over 120 plots altogether which are located at:
Residents of Rustington will be given priority for any vacant plots but applications are welcomed from those living outside of the Parish.
Existing tenants may apply for additional plots but are unlikely to be offered a plot whilst there is an active waiting list. Only one plot per household is permitted whilst an active waiting list exists – please contact the Parish Council for an up to date waiting list status.
