Parish Council Grant Aid

The 2022/23 Grant Aid Programme is now closed for applications.

The submitted Applications for the 2022/23 Grant Aid Programme were considered at the Meeting of the Finance and General Purposes Committee on 27 June 2022.  Successful Applicants will be notified shortly after this date.

As part of the Council’s assistance to outside Groups and Organisations, Grants are made annually to local Clubs and Charitable Organisations.

Grants are primarily given as a pump priming exercise, to enable things to happen and to show the Council's support to those groups and organisations doing good work in the community.

Good examples of this are the Council’s financial assistance to the organisers of the popular Community Street Fayre, to the Citizens’ Advice Bureau Outreach Service in Rustington and to the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul towards the upkeep of the Churchyard.

In order for this Council to be able to rationally and objectively assess applications, many of which will inevitably be totally dissimilar in content, it is both necessary and helpful to assess all applications received against a range of criteria.  These are designed to be a general indicator of need but are not exclusive and will be flexibly applied.

Full details of the Grant Criteria and Guidance Notes for potential applicants can be found here.
