The Woodlands Recreation Ground has been owned and managed by the Parish Council, on behalf of it's Parishioners, for nearly a Century. 

It is the larger of the two public open spaces, within the Parish and is situated five minutes walk north-west from the Village Centre. 

Following the receipt of a large number of representations from members of the public using the Woodlands Recreation Ground, the Parish Council’s Leisure and Amenities Committee, at its Meeting on 21 August 2023, considered the increased use of the Woodlands Recreation Ground for business and commercial purposes.  This included the noticeable rise in the number of professional dog walking services and commercial exercise and fitness groups, using the Recreation Ground.  The result of the Committee’s deliberations was that a Policy should be produced for consideration by the Full Council.

Accordingly, the Full Council, at its Meeting on 25 September 2023, considered and adopted a new Policy which can be viewed online - Guidance and Terms and Conditions of Use for Casual and Organised Activities at the Woodlands Recreation Ground.

The Council would be grateful if you could adhere to the aforementioned Policy with immediate effect and thank you in anticipation of your co-operation in this regard.
