The Rustington Scarecrow Competition is Back!

Having proved popular over the past couple of years we are pleased to be able to announce that the Rustington Heritage Association's Scarecrow Trail, in partnership with the Parish Council is back! 

 

What is it all about?....

The Rustington Heritage Association's (RHA) facilitated Rustington's first Scarecrow Trail as part of the Associations 40th birthday celebrations in 2023.

Buoyed on by the growing success of the competition RHA are once again invited the Rustington community to get creative and crafty whilst adding a splash of colour and creativity to the Village this summer. 

This years Scarecrows through the Ages theme will give tonnes of room for imagination.

Just think characters from history that were renowned in their "Hay-day!". 

 

How to Enter

The Trail is FREE to enter and Application forms can be downloaded here

Simply complete your Application Form by Friday 3rd July. You can either return it in person to the Samuel Wickens Centre (behind Waitrose) or via email to the Heritage Association: Contactrustyha@gmail.com

The Trail will run from 1 until 29 August 2026.  Trail Maps will be available nearer the time.

There are two categories, Organisation and Individual, and you will be able to vote online for your favourite.  Voting begins on 5 August and ends 26 August 2026.

 

The Important Bits...

The scarecrows must be displayed on private land.

They are the responsibility of the builder, not Rustington Heritage Association.

Photographs may be taken to use for publicity and promotional material.
